We are thrilled to welcome JMIR Publications to our membership. JMIR Publications is an open access publisher that helps scientists disseminate ideas and research. They "envision a world where people are empowered by health research and technology to make effective, informed decisions, take control of their health and well-being, and live happier and healthier lives."
Plan S is an initiative for Open Access publishing that was launched in September 2018. The plan is supported by cOAlition S, an international consortium of research funders.
The CALJ Board of Directors has adopted a document to provide guidance on Open Access Policies in order to assist member journals in developing an easily discoverable open access policy that meets the Tri-Agency requirements, maximizes the public dissemination of knowledge and takes into account journal sustainability.
The seminar will bring together directors of Canadian scholarly journals and librarians from Canadian university libraries on the topic of major paradigms brought by Open access: dissemination, financing, new uses.
The Public Knowledge Project has announce the launch of the Open Access Publishing Cooperative Study.
The Canadian Association of Leaned Journals (CALJ) welcomes the Tri-Council's Open Access policy. It affirms the societal benefit of public access to research across the entire spectrum of scholarship in science, social science, and the humanities.
