"New Models of Knowledge Dissemination and Open Access in Canada," Seminar to be held November 17, 2015 in Montreal.

The seminar will bring together directors of Canadian scholarly journals and librarians from Canadian university libraries on the topic of major paradigms brought by Open access: dissemination, financing, new uses.

2015 CALJ Boot Camp: In Montreal on Nov. 16th

The subjects covered in the one day camp this year will be:

  • Directory of Open Access Journals - SHERPA/RoMEO
  • Creative Commons/Copyright workshop
  • Discoverablity/Meta-data quality
  • The impact of digital marketing
  • Licensing and aggregators

In moving the camp to Montreal we will also be offering French sessions.

Canada Foundation of Innovation has made an investment of $1.4 million in the Érudit platform

The Érudit dissemination and research platform has received $1.4 million from the Canada Foundation of Innovation in order to strengthen the services it provides to Canadian universities, accelerate its technological development, and support the development of digital research in social sciences and the arts.
